Mr. Thorne Does Phonics

This busy site is filled with videos of British primary school teacher, Mr. Thorne, teaching all aspects of phonics. An easy way to navigate through the site is to use the header where you see “Home, Start, Geraldine the Giraffe,” etc. Mr. Thorne, with his charming English accent, sometimes works with Geraldine and sometimes by himself to introduce letter sounds, digraphs and trigraphs, consonant blends, and grammar. He is entertaining, accurate, the videos are brief, and he certainly does not talk down to children. Links to apps for Mr. Thorne’s Spellbook are included also.
