Teaching Literature: Fiction and Non-Fiction

7/23/2014 By:

Here is a treasure trove of units for teaching several different works of literature. There are several forms for character analysis, dialogue analysis, and the analysis of non-fiction. Find lesson plans for Dracula, Beowulf, and Fahrenheit 451. Tests, ways to teach vocabulary, and ideas for writing assignments are also included. These are lessons mainly for high school students, but the ideas certainly can be adapted for middle school. With the emphasis right now on non-fiction, the form, “Teaching the Analysis of Non-Fiction,” is particularly helpful.
