More than 15 countries will be represented this fall when education leaders attend the AAIE Institute for International School Leadership, an online educational initiative co-developed by the Association for the Advancement of International Education (AAIE) and Performance Learning Systems (PLS). The education leaders will begin eight, seven-week online courses featuring the fundamental components that are unique to international school guidance. The initiative supports participants in obtaining real-world knowledge with research-based frameworks for leadership within international schools.

Capstone Digital announces the winners of the 2012 Summer Reading Olympics. More than 35,000 students and over 1,450 schools participated in this year's program, which surpassed 1 million books read overall. The summer reading program challenged students to read as much as possible from June 1 to Aug. 15 through the personalized literacy environment myON reader. The top three students were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals, plus prizes including an iPad, Kindle Fire and iPod touch. In addition, students from Woodburn School District's Nellie Muir Elementary School in Oregon earned an interactive whiteboard from PolyVision for reading the most books over the summer.
