Shmoop Wins Award of Excellence from Tech & Learning

Education Technology Magazine Names Shmoop Best Upgraded Product

We Blush! (Ok, we blush loudly…)

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (Nov. 13, 2012) – For the second year in a row, Shmoop, a publisher of digital curriculum and test prep, has earned an Award of Excellence from the prestigious education technology magazine Tech & Learning. A panel of more than 30 educators, who evaluated more than 160 product entries, selected Shmoop as a “Best Upgraded Product” award winner.

Tech & Learning’s 30th annual recognition program honors the top software, hardware, network and Web products that break new ground as well as those that added significant enhancements to proven education tools. Among the high-quality offerings being honored are resources addressing management, safety, communication, differentiated learning, assessment and other key areas in education.

“As schools continue to have to do more with less, buying the right solution for your district needs is more important than ever,” said Kevin Hogan, editorial director for NewBay Media’s Tech & Learning. “Tech & Learning is proud to present these recommended products that have been put to the test by our experienced educational team of judges.”

Shmoop’s mission is simple: to spray WD-40 on the friction-laden tracks of learning. Shmoop Learning Guides, Test Prep and Teacher’s Editions follow academically rigorous standards, providing materials to help students understand subjects from a uniquely intimate and personal level. Shmoop content is written by master teachers, Ph.D. students from Stanford, Harvard, UC Berkeley, and other top universities, and by disciples of Yoda: “There is no try, only do.”
