SONOMA, Calif. (June 10, 2013) – For the second time in two months, StudySync (www.studysync.com), the groundbreaking Common Core literacy curriculum from BookheadEd Learning, has been chosen as a winner, this time from the Association of Educational Publishers (AEP). The winners were announced June 4 at the AEP Award Gala in Washington, D.C. during AEP’s Content in Context conference. Previously, StudySync recently was honored as the ‘Trendsetter’ winner in the EdTech Digest 2013 awards program. It also received two finalist nominations in the 2013 Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) awards program.
“We are honored to have StudySync recognized for the innovative way it empowers teachers to individualize and personalize learning, engage students with compelling and rigorous content, and ensure students achieve the academic success and personal growth they need to excel in a global marketplace.” said Robert Romano, CEO, StudySync.
StudySync is a cross-curricular solution for grades 4-12 with hundreds of core texts, dynamic video and media built to inspire and advance reading, writing, listening and critical thinking skills. An all-in-one platform designed from the Common Core Standards, StudySync is accessible on all devices anytime, anywhere.
In addition to the Innovative Category that recognizes forward-thinking products pioneering change in the education landscape, the AEP Awards in Education Excellence include three other main categories: Distinguished Achievement awards that honor the best in a range of product types and resources used by teachers, parents and students; Golden Lamp awards for the most exceptional teaching and learning products in the areas of periodicals, professional development, supplemental resources and whole curriculum programs; and the Beacon awards which acknowledge the most successful marketing campaigns promoting education. No other competition utilizes educators and education professional in three rounds of in-depth evaluation that include a detailed rubric and an area for personal comments. Only products with high scores and comments are recognized as finalists and eventual winners.
Romano concluded, “Today’s students expect a digital learning experience that meets them where they are and leverages the technology they are accustomed to. At the same time, teachers are often asked to do more with less, so they are looking for digital learning solutions that are easy to integrate into the ever-changing classroom environment. We are glad that StudySync continues to be recognized as a resource that can meet the teaching and learning needs of teachers and students, alike.”
