Atomic Learning Offers Seamless Ed Tech Training Tool Integration at BbWorld 2014

Faculty can incorporate technology training resources into learning management systems

Little Falls, Minn. (July 15, 2014) — Atomic Learning showcases seamless education technology training integration for course management systems at BbWorld 2014 in Las Vegas. The company also offers Skills Assessments that accompany the training tutorials and measure technology competency.

As a Blackboard Signature Partner™, Atomic Learning users have access to online video training for Blackboard resources. Video training options include Blackboard Learn 9.1 Instructor Video Tutorial Training, Blackboard Learn 9.1 Instructor- Grade Center Video Tutorial Training and Blackboard Learn 9.1 Student Video Tutorial Training. Training on previous versions of the Blackboard Learn™ platform is also available.

For seamless integration with Blackboard Learn™, Atomic Learning offers a Blackboard Building Block™. The Building Block allows a single sign-on experience from within Blackboard Learn™ to the Atomic Learning site, as well as direct linking capabilities and gradebook integration.

Atomic Learning’s IMS Global-certified Learning Tools Interoperability™ (LTI) Tool gives colleges and universities the ability to search the vast Atomic Learning training library from within any LTI-compliant learning management system. Instructors can also quickly embed videos into courses, and assign points through the Grade Center.

“We wanted a solution that would benefit student and instructor,” said Jon Messer, academic technology consultant for the Center for Teaching, Learning & Technology at the University of Richmond. “Atomic Learning is easily accessible, easily added to Blackboard content and faculty love the tutorials.”

Atomic Learning’s Skills Assessments on computer literacy and popular software applications help gauge the technology knowledge of instructors and students. Providing a variety of question types, including multiple choice and matching, the assessments identify areas of instructional need. Training tutorials that feature assessments include Microsoft® Word, Computer Literacy Basics and PowerPoint®.
