Nine out of ten U.S. children are playing electronic games, more than 52 percent have played an educational video game, and three-fourths of administrators believe digital content increases student engagement.

The Education Division of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) is now accepting applicants for its Innovation Incubator Program. All education technology companies are encouraged to apply – from start-ups to established innovators. A panel of industry professional judges will then select 10 participants and one alternate to present their products during the 10th SIIA Ed Tech Industry Summit in San Francisco, May 5-7, 2013. The deadline to apply for the Innovation Incubator Program is March 8, 2013.

The National Forensic League announces the launch of National Forensic League Online, an online debate platform that allows students to practice and compete in real-time from anywhere in the world. Students can limit their opponents to just students at their school or open the debate to any League member. Debates between students from other schools can earn League points as long as the debate is judged and a decision is made. Coaches can also create debates for their students to participate in and offer feedback on live or archived debates.
