PLEx Science offers STEM-focused, game-based curriculum for middle school students
MADISON, Wis. (Feb. 6, 2014) – Filament Games, developer of digital teaching games, announces the debut of its first integrated suite of game-based middle school science curriculum. PLEx (Play, Learn, Experiment) Life Science includes four games offering comprehensive gameplay mechanics that meet Next Generation Science Standards.
PLEx Life Science games include Reach for the Sun, Crazy Plant Shop, Fossil Forensics and Cell Command. The games are bundled with innovative curriculum materials and practical classroom management tools to make implementation easy.

The Filament Games team created the PLEx Science games using the Universal Design for Learning Framework. The games contain visual, textual and aural representations of key information, and are intended for use in inclusive science classrooms that have a diverse range of students.
PLEx Science is the first in a series of learning game suites from Filament Games, and will be available for purchase this summer at a one-time cost averaging one to two dollars per student.
