LEAD21, optimized for the new Intel-powered convertible classmate PC, is an elementary school literacy program offering students and teachers print, digital and professional development resources.

For students, LEAD21 includes elements such as the Differentiated Reader, which offers age- and grade-appropriate word counts, font size and spacing, art and text features, and concepts and vocabulary for students at all proficiency levels.

For teachers, the program offers flexible digital tools that allow them to place students with varying proficiency levels into different groups. It also electronically tracks each student’s reading proficiency progress.

McGraw-Hill will offer teachers' reactions to the new classmate PC on Twitter.
