Aspen Learning announced the launch of a new version of its OpenClassroom server. The new hardware is based on the very popular Intel® Atom™ processor 330 (dual core). It is twice as fast as the previous version, and will be available at the same affordable price.

OpenClassroom enhances 21st Century Skills through safe student collaboration and secure teacher/student communication, and improves teacher productivity with its intuitive learning management tools designed for K12. It also includes generous file storage and appropriate content.

“Our teachers really appreciate the faster speed, along with the software features added earlier in the year”, said Tom Plati, Director of Curriculum, Assessment & Technology at Lexington Public Schools in Massachusetts.

Pricing and Availability
Aspen Learning is accepting orders for the new model (OCS-CLASS-02), and plans to ship it in November. The price is $1200 per server, plus S/H.
