San Francisco, CA (May 5, 2015)– The Education Technology Industry Network (ETIN) of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA)) showcased some of the newest and most innovative products in the education technology market, and recognized the best among them as part of the Innovation Incubator program at the Education Industry Summit, the leading conference for the K-12 and postsecondary education technology market, held May 3-5 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco.

“This year’s Innovation Incubator participants presented extraordinary education technology products,” said Karen Billings, vice president and managing director of the ETIN-SIIA. “The program winners will be among entrepreneurs to watch as they continue to innovate in the coming years.”

More than 50 applicants were assessed for the Innovation Incubator program on a broad range of criteria. They were judged by both industry leaders and educators in classrooms around the globe. Ten participants and one alternate were selected as finalists for the program, and the winners were judged by the ed tech leaders at the Education Industry Summit.

The SIIA Innovation Incubator Program identifies and supports entrepreneurs in their development and distribution of innovative learning technologies. The program began in 2006 and has provided support for dozens of successful products and companies in their efforts to improve education through the use of software, digital content, and related technologies. The program is open to applicants from academic and non-profit institutions, pre-revenue and early-stage companies, as well as established companies with newly developed technologies.

ETIN-SIIA recognizes Texthelp, MCH, edWeb and eSchool Media for the support with the Innovation Incubator program. Thank you to the education members who reviewed the many applicants, and the mentors who worked with them throughout the cycle.

SIIA Announces CODiE™ Award Winners for Education Technology Industry

WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 6, 2015) The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, yesterday announced the winners of the 2015 CODiE Awards in education technology. The ceremony was held during a special awards reception and dinner at SIIA’s annual Education Information Summit, at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco. Overall, 28 awards were given for products and services deployed specifically for the education technology market.

Washington, D.C. (Aug. 18, 2014) – The Education Division of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) is accepting applicants for its Innovation Incubator program. Selected developers of promising technologies in the K-12 and postsecondary markets will be invited to participate in the SIIA Innovation Incubator program during the 14th annual SIIA Education Business Forum, December 9-10, at McGraw-Hill Conference Center in New York. The deadline to apply is September 26.
