Appleton, WI--(April 14, 2016) Versifit Technologies announces they have been awarded the American Samoa data warehouse project funded through the Institute of Education Sciences grant for State Longitudinal Data Systems. American Samoa is one of 20 state education departments who were awarded the grant.

In their proposal, American Samoa identified the need to strengthen efforts to ensure all components of its State Longitudinal Data System are interoperable through the adoption and implementation of clearly defined and consistent data definitions and format standards.

Versifit’s work with American Samoa will focus on student data from birth through workforce:

•Early Learning: To link early childhood data to K12 student data in order to better understand the characteristics and quality of early learning services provided in the territory, access to and use of these services by low income children and families, and the correlation between participation in early learning programs and subsequent student outcomes.

•College and Career Readiness: to assess students’ college and career readiness in order to improve their postsecondary education and workforce outcomes.

Advisory Board members noted the opportunity for using data to make decision to improve student learning as a key in the selection to work with Versifit’s Edvantage solution.
