NEW ORLEANS — April 18, 2016 — The Kickboard school culture system has been named a finalist for the 2016 SIIA CODiE Awards in the Best Classroom Management Solution category. The SIIA CODiE Awards are the premier awards for the software and information industries, and have been recognizing product excellence for over 30 years.
Kickboard is one of only four finalists in the Classroom Management Solution category of the Education Technology awards. Using Kickboard’s highly configurable framework, teachers can understand, share and tweak every bit of school culture happening behind their classroom doors. With one-click behavior tracking and built-in rewards such as behavior points and student paychecks, teachers can save time while building positive relationships with students. In addition, with color-sorted dashboards and reports, teachers can quickly see, measure and correct the little things that make a big difference in the classroom. The end results are deeply supported classrooms and a safe, happy school.
“Thirty years of research shows that classroom management is rated first in impact on student achievement,” said Kickboard CEO Jennifer Medbery. “We’re delighted that Kickboard has been recognized as an effective tool for improving classroom management as well as school culture. When students feel engaged and act positively, disruptions and discipline incidents decline, attendance rises, and academic achievement increases.”
“Every year the list of CODIE finalists is a case study of how the ed tech industry is using new technologies in combination with knowledge about how people learn to respond to customer needs. They’re opening doors for learners of all ages,” said Karen Billings, vice president and managing director of the Education Technology Industry Network (ETIN) of SIIA.
Details about each finalist are listed at http://www.siia.net/codie/Finalists. Winners will be announced during a virtual award ceremony on May 18. The top honor of best overall educational product will be presented at the Education Industry Symposium in Denver on July 26.
