‘The EDvantage’ Appoints Editorial Board of Higher Ed Faculty

Arlington, Va. (April 2, 2014) – The EDvantage, a free online resource hub for educators, announces its Editorial Board of eight faculty from higher education institutions across the country. Board members will advise The EDvantage directors and coordinators on the site’s development and act as gatekeepers, vetting outside resources before they appear on the site.

Arlington, Va. (April 2, 2014)The EDvantage, a free online resource hub for educators, announces its Editorial Board of eight faculty from higher education institutions across the country. Board members will advise The EDvantage directors and coordinators on the site’s development and act as gatekeepers, vetting outside resources before they appear on the site.

Launched in October 2013, The EDvantage curates high-quality resources, including videos, articles and supplemental learning guides, so instructors can spend less time searching and more time teaching.

The EDvantage Editorial Board members are:

  • Daniel Houser, George Mason University
  • Edward Tower, Duke University
  • Gailen Hite, Columbia University
  • Isaac Dilanni, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

  • Tawni Ferrarini, Northern Michigan University

“Relevant, timely and engaging instructional resources are more important than ever, especially in the larger, general education courses such as Principles of Microeconomics,” said Arthur Diamond, Kayser Professor in the department of economics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. “The EDvantage offers professors a resource that ties their instruction to current events and demonstrates practical applications of their lessons.”

Texas State Board of Education Adopts CEV Multimedia Instructional Materials

LUBBOCK, Texas (Dec. 7, 2016) – To better reflect new educational standards in Texas and offer students comprehensive training resources in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, CEV Multimedia announced today the Texas State Board of Education has approved the iCEV online learning platform for 87 CTE courses. With the approval by the State Board of Education, materials will be available and implemented in classrooms at the beginning of the 2017-18 school year.
