SETDA chooses TabPilot as an Emerging Private Sector Partner

CALHOUN, Ga. (June 18, 2014) – TabPilot Learning Systems, the leading classroom management system for Android tablets, joins the second annual cohort of SETDA Emerging Private Sector Partners. The highly regarded education technology association selected TabPilot as one of 10 startups to debut at the upcoming Emerging Technologies Forum on June 26 in Atlanta, GA.

“By developing a product tightly focused on the instructional and classroom management needs expressed by PreK-12 educators using tablets in their classrooms, TabPilot was selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants,” said Douglas Levin, SETDA Executive Director.

As schools increasingly turn to affordable Android tablets to enhance instruction, TabPilot offers educators easy, effective management tools that reduce distractions and maximize teaching time. TabPilot provides solutions that limit student access to apps, keeping students focused and on task. The TabPilot system also provides classroom management tools for monitoring or locking student screens, tools for IT administrators to distribute apps and track app licensing, and a secure browser ideal for online testing.

“Our goal is to create a productive learning atmosphere in classrooms where mobile technology is used,” said TabPilot President and CEO Jarrett Volzer. “As a SETDA Emerging Private Sector Partner, we look forward to partnering with SETDA members to accomplish this important challenge.”

SETDA Emerging Private Sector Partners will engage with SETDA membership over the next year, providing a unique public-private collaboration. SETDA and its Channel Partners will provide TabPilot and others with deep education industry expertise to support successful scaling on a statewide and multi-state basis.
