The Award-Winning Titanium Series of Headsets Support Mobile Learning Initiatives with To Go Plug
San Fernando, Calif. (Oct. 8, 2013) – Califone International, Inc. announces an expansion to its award-winning Titanium™ Series of headphones and headsets. The company’s most durable and technically advanced series is now available with a To Go™ plug, allowing headsets to be used for listening and speaking into any digital mobile device.
The product update is a direct result of customer feedback. While the To Go plug is featured with other Califone headset models, it hadn’t yet been offered for the Titanium series, the company’s most technically advanced headset. After receiving user requests, Califone upgraded the series with the To Go plug, enabling compatibility with iOS & Android-based smartphones and tablets.
“The best insight into educator trends and needs comes from the educators themselves,” said Tim Ridgway, vice president of marketing for Califone. “Customer feedback helps us gauge how products are used to supplement classroom activities. We’re happy to provide educators with headsets that support mobile learning initiatives with the To Go plug.”
To Go plugs are designed specifically for use with smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices. As the first washable models available on the market, the Titanium series can be completely submerged in water for easy cleaning after removing the cord.
“Two of the most important qualities of classroom technology are durability and versatility,” said Ridgway. “The Titanium headsets are even more adaptable to the needs and devices of each student. Offering the best sound isolation within the Califone line, they provide a higher level of speech intelligibility which is critical for language learning.”
Headphones and headsets are important classroom tools, essential to computer and mobile-based learning activities such as student podcast creation, online class discussions and listening comprehension exercises. Headphones and headsets help students build speaking and listening skills, which are critical components defined by the English Language Arts (ELA) portion of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).
