Company expands product offerings with a new solution that helps districts build and share digital curriculum

Portland, Ore. (October 7, 2014) – Learning.com, a leader in helping districts implement digital learning initiatives, celebrates 15 years of creating education technology solutions for K-12 schools. The company works with schools, districts, associations and state governments and currently serves nearly 5 million students across the U.S. and 11 countries worldwide.

Learning.com was founded in 1999 to help teachers integrate technology into everyday instruction. Since the inception of its flagship digital literacy curriculum EasyTech, Learning.com has adapted to address education trends related to digital content, Next-Generation Assessments, project-based learning, 21st century skills instruction and more.

“We’re proud that throughout our 15-year history, we’ve helped educators make a positive impact on the lives of millions of students around the globe,” said Keith Oelrich, Learning.com CEO. “It’s humbling and inspiring to work with a passionate, smart and committed group of employees who make Learning.com a fun, vibrant and dynamic company.”

To meet the changing needs of today’s districts, Learning.com launched Curriculum Foundry, which will help districts seamlessly access, organize, and share digital content. The product provides a searchable content repository that includes vetted open education resources (OER), as well as a district’s existing digital content and tools to build curriculum. Curriculum Foundry is being piloted this fall and will be ready for district implementation in January 2015.
