Conference to Explore Strategies for Doing Business in ‘Seismic Change’

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Nov. 15, 2012) – Industry leaders from key ed tech firms will help education technology companies do business during today’s seismic market changes at the 12th annual Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) Ed Tech Business Forum, from Nov. 26-27 in New York City.

The theme for the Forum is "Doing Business During Seismic Change" – a particularly relevant topic in a rapidly changing education ecosystem. The Forum will focus on the economic landscape, so companies can leverage the seismic changes in the way education customers are accessing content, curriculum, and administrative tools.

The Education Division of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) showcased some of the leading growth companies in the education technology market and recognized the best among them as part of the Innovation Incubator program at the 12th annual Ed Tech Business Forum this week in New York. More than 75 applicants were assessed for the Innovation Incubator program on a broad range of criteria, including the education focus, end-user impact, market need for the innovation, representation of K-12/postsecondary market levels, and the level of originality and innovation. Education Technology Pioneers Announced as Participants for SIIA Innovation Incubator Program

The Education Division of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) announces participants for its Innovation Incubator Program. The program will be held during the 12th annual Ed Tech Business Forum, Nov. 26-27, at its new location, the McGraw Hill Conference Center in New York. Twelve products and services will be featured during the event, and awards will be presented to the Most Innovative and Most Likely to Succeed based on votes of conference attendees. SIIA to Release Qualitative Mobile Study at Education Business Forum

The Education Division of SIIA released a Qualitative Study on Mobile Learning during a press briefing at the Education Business Forum in New York today. The study of educators’ mobile challenges and opportunities indicates opportunities for growth in the use of mobile technology in schools. The results, gathered from interviews with nine educators, demonstrate the successes and difficulties faced by individual teachers in their integration of smart phones and tablets for educational purposes.
