CINCINNATI – May 13, 2014 – An evaluation completed by the Center for Educational Leadership and Technology (CELT) finds that the 127-point Resource Certification Process for Knovation’s Learning Resource Library effectively addresses the challenges school districts face when integrating digital resources into their curriculum.

As a leader in research, planning and implementation services for the education industry, CELT’s professional review offers an in-depth assessment of the identification, contextualization and maintenance processes Knovation uses when adding materials to its Learning Resource Library, which features more than 360,000 certified digital resources. The educational content can be delivered through the company’s personalized learning applications, netTrekker and icurio, or through a district’s existing technology platform or system. The evaluation highlights the unique support Knovation provides districts as they implement digital curriculum and align learning materials to their state and Common Core State Standards.

Findings from CELT’s review of Knovation’s 127-point Resource Certification Process confirm that the company’s detailed identification and certification process plays an important role in providing relevant, high-quality content for districts looking to shift to a blended learning model.

The company’s 127-point Resource Certification Process features three phases: content identification, content contextualization and content maintenance. All resources are aligned to state and Common Core State Standards in four core subject areas and many others. Vetted and certified by doctoral-level curriculum experts who curate the resources, Knovation ensures instructional relevance by identifying learning needs, such as grade and reading level, and providing various content formats that include videos, lesson plans and eBooks, among many others.

“Because of constraints related to time, budget and resources, districts are facing challenges as they build and scale large learning object repositories to effectively impact teaching and learning,” said Joe Greishop, president and managing officer at Knovation. “CELT’s extensive review upholds Knovation’s long-standing work to ensure that digital resources can be managed, delivered and implemented to create practical, cost-effective personalized learning environments in schools across the country.”

More information about Knovation’s personalized learning solutions, including findings from CELT’s review of Knovation’s 127-point Resource Certification Process and Learning Resource Library is available in the company’s recent whitepaper.
