Portland, Ore. (April 2, 2013) – Learning.com, the celebrated source for connecting educators and students to the right digital curriculum, has named Dr. Clifford Green as vice president of education and customer experience. In this new role, Green will serve as a member of the executive team and oversee Implementation, Customer Service and Inside Sales. He brings a deep understanding of the education technology space and will be instrumental in contributing to the strategic direction of Learning.com.

“I am honored to be a part of a team of dedicated professionals whose focus is providing quality educational opportunities for schools, students and their families,” Green said of his new position.

Green comes to Learning.com from Ignite Education Group, where he was acting vice president of education and school operations. In October of 2011, Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter appointed Green as the executive director of the Idaho Education Network, a statewide, high-speed broadband and Video Tele Conference (VTC) system designed to deliver educational opportunities to Idaho’s students, schools and communities.

Prior to joining the Idaho Education Network, Green served as a regional vice president and executive director for Insight Schools, executive director for the Idaho School Boards Association, and as a district technology coordinator and business education teacher. Green also owns Praxis Management Group, an education and business consulting company.

Green previously chaired the Boise State University College of Education Advancement Committee. He was the gubernatorial appointment to the Idaho Council for Technology in Learning, as well as an appointee to the Students Come First Technology Taskforce. He holds a Doctorate of Education degree in curriculum and instruction from Boise State University, a Masters in Business Education degree from the University of Idaho and a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Boise State.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Green to Learning.com,” said Keith Oelrich, chief executive officer. “He is a dedicated educator and a tremendous leader, and I am confident that his knowledge and expertise will help us to better serve the educators and students we support.”
