Teachers who integrate at least two Blue Zones programs into classroom instruction may apply for an Allianz Classroom Award, sponsored by Allianz Corporate Giving Community. Applicants who demonstrate innovative and effective use may receive a $1,000 award.

The Legacy Project's Listen to a Life Contest invites students ages 8 to 18 to partner with a person over 50 years old, interview that person, and write a 300-word essay. Prizes include a laptop computer and gift certificates from Books Are Fun!

Ten high school seniors will be awarded the Yoshiyama Award for Exemplary Service to the Community, awarded by the Hitachi Foundation. Eligible students must be nominated by an educator, community leader, or other practitioner to receive this $5,000 award.

Lemelson-MIT Program's InvenTeam grants are made to teams of high school students, their teachers, and an industry mentor that invent something useful for the school or community. Up to 18, $10,000 grants will be awarded.
