Education Technology Industry Network and StartEd Will Host Ed Tech Growth Event in New York

October 4, 2018 (Washington, D.C. and New York, NY) — The Education Technology Industry Network (ETIN) of the Software Information Industry Association (SIIA), the largest non-profit software industry policy and advocacy association, announced today a partnership with StartEd Inc., a New York hub for ed tech innovation, to bring education industry insiders, investors, and mid- and large-scale education companies together with education startups at the Education Business Forum (EBF) on November 27 and 28 in New York.

The 2018 EBF is the 15 annual installment of the ed tech event focused on industry trends, legislation and policy impact, professional development, networking, and investment in education technology. The theme of this year’s forum is “Conquering the Challenge of Scale in Ed Tech.”

In November of 2018, the Education Business Forum (EBF) moves from its previous venue in Washington, D.C., to New York, and hosts more than 200 regional and national ed tech companies. The event will feature an Innovation Showcase, which will highlight 15 startup companies that will be announced on November 1, 2018.

Ken Wasch, the president of SIIA, remarked, “The Education Technology Industry Network of SIIA has partnered with StartEd to bring the knowledge and expertise of hundreds of established ed tech players together with the innovation and excitement of StartEd accelerator companies and alumni for two days of unparalleled networking and growth opportunities at the 2018 Education Business Forum.”

ETIN provided attendees, including financial gurus and Innovation Incubator finalists, insights into the growth areas for technologies that will transform the education industry.ETIN reviewed and accepted 10 ed tech early-stage companies to pitch their innovative products to investors and acquiring companies attending the forum. The organization presented top awards to FANSchool, Inc. for Fantasy Geopolitics as the Most Innovative and MathSpace for MathSpace as the Most Likely to Succeed.

Education Technology Innovators Sought for Incubation Program at 2013 SIIA Ed Tech Industry Summit

The Education Division of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) is now accepting applicants for its Innovation Incubator Program. All education technology companies are encouraged to apply – from start-ups to established innovators. A panel of industry professional judges will then select 10 participants and one alternate to present their products during the 10th SIIA Ed Tech Industry Summit in San Francisco, May 5-7, 2013. The deadline to apply for the Innovation Incubator Program is March 8, 2013.
