At less than an ounce, Samson’s LM10X lavalier microphone can not only pick up the subtleties of a teacher’s voice but can be clipped to a shirt or tucked into a pair of eyeglasses so it just about disappears. Its 3-milimeter condenser microphone element picks up audio from 20-to-20,000 hertz, comes with all the adapters you’ll need and several foam windscreens. Packaged in a handy carrying case that should ease going from classroom to classroom during the school-day, the LM10X kit costs $70.
