Today's Newsletter: Time is Running Out to Imprint a Positive Memorable Moment

T&L Advisor Guest post — Henry Thiele, Superintendent Community High School District 99 Downers Grove, IL: As educators, our core mission is to create caring and challenging learning environments for our students. However, when you think back to your days in school and fond memories come back, they are usually unique, powerful, or happy experiences that you can instantly recall. Even those connected to some skill or bit of content are likely attached to something that stands out. This past week teachers between two of our local schools made those moments happen and social media helped bring it all together. When you read the story you will quickly see how teachers naturally created a positive memorable moment. They created a memory in the life of a child that will connect "happy" with "school" forever. We are running out of time this school year to make our mark on students. Not only will these moments help students for life, they will help us when our students become parents, business leaders, and citizens that support our schools and our mission. Find some students and imprint a positive memorable moment!
