Discovery Education announces a national campaign to support education for children of military families. Discovery Education has pledged the following in support of the initiative: high-quality digital content to DoDEA schools, professional development through the Discovery Educator Network, Help on the Homefront classroom challenge, and military children representation on Discovery Education's Student Advisory Board.
As part of the White House initiative's national launch, Jamie Hyneman and Grant Imahara from Discovery Channel's hit series MythBusters will join Mrs. Obama and Dr. Jill Biden this Thursday, April 14 at Fountain-Fort Carson High School in Colorado Springs, where military children compose nearly half of the student body.
