Evans Newton Inc. (ENI), provider of professional development, coaching, and school transformation for K-12 districts, today announces a new course for district and school leaders called “ Leading the Conversion to Common Core Standards.”
Through this three-module course, participants will explore and analyze the CCSS, discover the characteristics that separate the CCSS from existing state standards, and reflect on the instructional implications these standards present. They will then identify the training and resources needed to support their instructional staff through the role changes required to implement the CCSS and transform teaching and learning to align to 21st century college and workforce demands. Participants will also form local Communities of Professional Practice to collaboratively develop and implement their plan for CCSS-centered 21st century instruction and leadership at the school and district levels.
