Today's Newsletter: Students Taking Charge of Ed Tech

Maybe it’s because high-stakes testing is finished for the year, but there is a bevy of good news in the feeds today regarding technology in the classroom. My favorite part: When kids themselves are involved. Ridgefield (CT) school students recently presented to its board some of the ways they have improved learning. Students in McHenry County, IL, went to the state capitol to present to lawmakers their technical prowess. And students in Santa Barbara County (CA) are helping to celebrate technology grants supplied by local businesses. It’s hugely important to keep student opinion and analysis in all of our discussion about hows and whys of tech in school. After all, it’s their future we’re talking about! —Kevin Hogan, Editorial Director
