Fortune Magazine posts a piece this morning declaring the Chromebook to be the new King of the classroom as sales of the inexpensive laptops reaches past 7 million units (75 percent of which goes to education). The newsfeeds are also full of district adoption stories from Chicago to Ohio to Texas. Let’s not proclaim the iPad dead by any means, however. San Francisco School District says it learned from LA’s mistakes when rolling out its 1:1 program. School administrators in Cabell County, WV say their iPad program is also proving successful, proving once again that when it comes to edtech gear, it doesn’t matter what you have, but how you use it. —Kevin Hogan, Content Director
