Alliance for Excellent Education Names Leader for Digital Learning

The Alliance for Excellent Education announced today that Tom Murray, former director of technology and cyber education for Quakertown Community School District (QCSD) in Pennsylvania, has joined the Alliance as its state and district digital learning policy and advocacy director. In this newly created position, Murray will work alongside state education departments, school districts, and individual schools to plan for the effective use of technology in achieving the goal of college and career readiness for every student, regardless of their geography or demographics.

Additionally, Bob Wise, president of the Alliance and former governor of West Virginia, has been recognized by Tech & Learning and the Academy of Education Arts and Sciences International for his efforts toward effective implementation of technology and digital learning in the nation’s high schools.
