K-12 educators are invited to apply for an Abraham Lincoln Fellowship, sponsored by Horace Mann and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum. The fellowship includes a $1,000 stipend and attendance at a five-day summer institute.

The Schools of Distinction Award, sponsored by the Intel Foundation, recognizes K-12 schools that promote mastery of 21st century learning skills through math and science. Six winners receive a $10,000 cash grant and $150,000 in products and services.

Kohl's Kids Who Care Program recognizes students ages 6 to 18 who are community volunteers. Awards range from $50 gift cards to $5,000 scholarships.

Kids are Authors is Scholastic's annual competition for teams of three or more K-8 students. Two grand-prize winning schools will receive $5,000 in merchandise, and 25 honorable mention winners will receive $500 in merchandise.
