PLATO Learning today announced the introduction of new content for two of its existing high school science courses. The online courses are designed to meet the needs of both credit recovery and first-time students seeking semester-long credits in biology and chemistry.
The retooled biology and chemistry courses feature the latest updates in science education, including inquiry science activities, labs and online simulations. For example, one “kitchen sink” lab exercise requires students to observe grapes as they ferment in a bag in their own home.
Existing customers who had access to PLATO Learning’s old biology and chemistry courses will receive full access to the new biology and chemistry courses at no additional cost. Biology courseware has been available to customers since July, while chemistry courseware will be available beginning in December.
