Tech & Learning Teams with Edtech Leader Kecia Ray to Expand Events

The editors of Tech & Learning are pleased to announce that Dr. Kecia Ray will be joining the team in the capacity of Brand Ambassador. Ray, nationally renowned as an educator and expert in the field of education technology, will help to expand the size and scope of Tech & Learning’s Leadership Summits.

“I’m excited and honored to have Dr. Ray working with us in an official capacity,” says Kevin Hogan, T&L Managing Director of Content. “Since 2014, when we first profiled her as one of the most influential people in edtech, Dr. Ray has been a stalwart informal advisor for us. I am certain her continued guidance will help us take our Leadership Summits to the next level.”

Tech & Learning Leadership Summits are attended by select groups of K-12 education department leaders from districts across the country who understand and benefit from timely and relevant executive-level news about the successes and challenges of education technology. Each Tech & Learning Leadership Summit uses a combination of presentations and idea exchanges to focus on the challenges and success stories related to using education technology to support educational transformation.

Dr. Ray is the former CTO of Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, where she oversaw the design, implementation, and evaluation of instructional technology programs including instructional design for online and blended learning environments and library services. Dr. Ray is a member of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), where she served as Chair of the ISTE Board of Directors from 2012 until January, 2017.

“I am excited to partner with T&L in this exciting and unique way,” says Dr. Ray. “I have been a long time subscriber and attendee to T&L events and look forward to introducing leaders from across the country to such a high caliber resource and network.”
