On this Talk Like a Pirate Day, check out the video of the wreck site of Blackbeard’s ship, the Queen Anne’s Revenge, that was examined off the coast of North Carolina in 1997. After you see and hear about finding the ship, you can follow Blackbeard’s voyage from the Bahamas on up to the Carolina coast as he stopped and plundered towns along the way. With each stop you will find many things to explore such as audio clips that relate information about the watery discovery and recovery, cut-aways of the ship, maps, and scholarly articles (but very readable) about Blackbeard and pirate life.
