The Web page for Tom McMahon's classroom in Springfield, Pa., (www.oenglish.com) is an excellent model for high school teachers. The site is simple to keep up-to-date, but dynamic enough to bring students back regularly. Each class period has its own link where students can access period-specific homework assignments, class notes, and project assignments. Students will also find links to language arts sites, sample work, and rubrics used for grading various types of assignments. Each period even has its own photo gallery.
