Welcome to Cycle 7 of The 30 Goals Challenge: Make it Meaningful!

“Every child deserves a champion; an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best they can possibly be.” – Rita f. Pierson

Goal: Be another teacher or your student’s champion in the next coming weeks. Our students and other teachers share with us ideas they are excited about. Instead of criticizing or nitpicking the idea, be his/her champion and support the idea. Later you can offer tips, advice, resources and constructive criticism, but at the beginning we need to support the effort of a student coming to us with an idea, dream, or suggestion. In Chapter 29 of the 30 Goals Challenge for teachers I talk about the importance of being supportive and championing ideas. Discover more about this in my recent interview conducted by Noah Geisel.
