School Leaders Head to Ireland for Education Technology Delegation

CoSN (the Consortium for School Networking) today is leading an education delegation to the Republic of Ireland.

Over the course of 10 days, September 22-October 1, district technology leaders will meet with government officials, speak with education leaders and students, and visit pioneering schools in Belfast and Dublin to learn more about the country’s innovative learning success.

The delegation will focus on addressing the following questions:

  • How can an ongoing commitment to ICT investments in education be sustained in the face of economic shifts and cycles?
  • What are the policies that are helping to transform Irish schools into e-learning environments?
  • How is the government sparking innovation by supporting programs such as the Maker Movement and coding?
  • How is Ireland developing the skills that are essential for the 21st century learner?
  • What are the main differences between the ICT investment strategies in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland?
