Name:Discoverers Web

Brief Description of the Site:
Discoverer's Web has an overwhelming number of links and information about discovery, voyages, and exploration, making it invaluable for student research and teaching lessons.

How to use the site:
Most social studies or history teachers teach about the famous explorers or discoverers. With Discoverer's Web home page, you'll never have to rely on just a few pages per explorer. There is an alphabetical listing of Explorers. Primary and secondary sources will keep students digging for more information. Diaries and journals bring the history to life. An example of this is a Donner Party member's diary. Students will find plenty of biographies, too. Students will learn the reasons for exploration, and the use of timelines. Teachers and students can be freely copy from the site by following some basic rules.
