I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Someone A Letter

1/8/2014 6:00:00 PM
Letter writing does not have to be a lost art. Celebrate the letter during Letter Writing Week.  This lesson covers letter conventions as well as letters written for specific occasions. Find an invitation from Thomas Jefferson, a thank you note from John F. Kennedy, a congratulatory note to Abraham Lincoln, and a letter from one boy to another describing the Great Chicago Fire. The lesson makes suggestions on how to adapt these letter types for your students to use today.
