Here’s a debunking of several old wives’ tales, rooted in tradition. Some of them do have some kernel of truth about them, but are generally false. A few are true, such as listening to loud music can damage your hearing. Read through these “precautions” and see how many you’ve heard and, perhaps, believe. The scientific evidence is presented to support or deny the wives’ tales.
