There is plenty of discussion about whether studying music can help with understanding in math. This website
doesn’t try to answer that question, but it does have a mathematics-music connection. Geometric shapes are equated with notes and rhythms. By choosing various shapes, you can compose your own rhythm line and play it back. You can also choose from a list of songs to hear how the shape-rhythm sounds. The explanation of what each shape sounds like is easy to understand, as is the visual representation. Work with triangles, rhombuses, trapezoids, and hexagons to see what kind of music you can create.
