Tech & Learning was in attendance at today's launch of the National Education Technology Plan 2016 and celebration of the one-year anniversary of Future Ready. As a Regional Partner of Future Ready Schools, we are honored to be a part of this celebration, especially during a week when the Senate just approved the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) one week after the House passed the same bill. Will these changes launch the sort of reform education associations have been asking for? ASCD writes in their statement: “we are pleased that Congress has recognized the value of this approach by broadening the range of indicators states are required to use to measure student achievement and school quality.” Keith Krueger, CEO of CoSN, writes: “We applaud the House and Senate for approving the Every Student Succeeds Act and sending it to the President for his signature.
