Today's Newsletter: Remembering Seymour Papert

When news of Seymour Papert’s death at age 88 was announced yesterday, the Tech & Learning Twitter feed erupted with reflections about the many ways this brilliant edtech leader had influenced the work of educators. As a pioneer of “constructionist learning” Papert served as co-director of MIT’s Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, where he co-created Logo, a simple programming language for children. T&L named Papert one of edtech’s “most influential” in 2010, and Will Richardson and Gary Stager have curated an excellent collection of Papert’s writings in the DailyPapert.com.“May we continue to work together as Seymour’s community to make the necessary changes that will bring opportunities and peace in the world,” writes Fab Lab Connect’s CEO Simone Amber. Well said. – Christine Weiser, Executive Editor
