FileWave Announces Chromebook Support, Apple Enhancements in Version 12 Release

FileWave announced the release of FileWave version 12. Highlights of the release include Chromebook support, new Apple management capabilities, native UEFI imaging for Windows and over 100 improvements.

Chromebook Support
With the addition of Chrome OS, customers can now manage macOS, iOS, Windows, Chrome OS and Android devices from one console. New Chromebook capabilities include integration with FileWave Inventory, Device Tracking and Engage, FileWave's classroom management tool.

Apple Enhancements
FileWave 12 includes comprehensive support for Apple's newest operating systems – tvOS 10.2, iOS 10.3 and macOS Sierra 10.12.4.

Expanded Windows Imaging Capabilities
FileWave Imaging version 5 expands upon FileWave's Imaging solution for Windows by adding support for native UEFI-based imaging mode. This provides support for newer devices, such as the HP Stream, Microsoft Surface Pro, Dell Latitude and many more that do not have a legacy BIOS-compatibility mode for network booting.
