Today's Newsletter: NYC Schools Need to Show the Edtech Money

While there are more than 15,000 school districts in the United States, the Big Three—New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, usually get all the edtech press, especially when the coverage is negative. Remember the City of Angel’s 1:1 rollout? Of course you do. This weekend’s New York Daily News reports on what could be another whopper—the Big Apple’s education department has no documentation on how they spent $347 million earmarked to upgrade internet service at middle schools. Making matters worse, a recent survey revealed that almost half found the upgrade to be insufficient. This should get interesting. —Kevin Hogan, Content Director
