I love books, and summer is my favorite time to immerse myself in words. As a novelist as well as an edtech editor, I think storytelling is one of the most valuable skills we can teach our students. As you plan your summer reading list, there are plenty of titles to consider. T&L advisor Carl Hooker just completed the final titles in his Mobile Mindset Series (Read our review here). Our UK advisor Terry Freedman shared his report from the recentSociety of Authors conference that compared educational publishing in the UK and the USA. Future Ready’s Tom Murray and ICLE Senior Fellow Eric Sheninger’s new book, Learning Transformed: 8 Keys to Designing Tomorrow's Schools, Today, is already getting shout-outs from the likes of Arne Duncan, Dan Pink, Sir Ken Robinson, and others. T&L blogger Monica Burns recommends Hacking Google for Educationby Brad Currie, Billy Krakower and Scott Rocco (the brains behind #satchat). These are just a select few of the many great titles out there. What are you reading this summer? Add your recommendations to the comments below.
