Multimedia software grants awarded

TechSmith Corp., a Michigan-based provider of screen capture (opens in new tab) and screen recording (opens in new tab) solutions, have announced that 339 Michigan schools will receive more than $2.3 million in multimedia software through the TechSmith Michigan K-12 Software Grant Program.

TechSmith is awarding more than 30,000 licenses of its products including Snagit, Camtasia Studio, Camtasia for Mac, Camtasia Relay and the company’s content hosting service, Screencast.com. Educators can turn their lectures into online videos that students can then download, view and review on mobile devices, or their home computers.

The TechSmith software grant program was open to all Michigan K-12 educational institutions and educators. To see examples of how K-12 educators are using TechSmith products in their classrooms, visit techsmith.com/edu (opens in new tab).
