ForeScout announces that it can now run its CounterACT network access control solution (NAC) as a virtual appliance within the virtual machine. The integrated solution delivers real-time visibility and comprehensive control over who, how, when and what devices, including guest VMs, are connecting to enterprise networks.

Users can now put NAC anywhere they want, without having to put a physical machine in place to do it. Customers can mix virtual appliances with physical NAC appliances in any combination and manage all of them from a single console.

ForeScout complements VMware vShield back end security by protecting the front end and endpoint compliance for non-virtual hosts.
