Project-based learning assessment tool launched

CTB/McGraw-Hill has today announced the launch of the Acuity® Performance Task System, a new performance assessment authoring system and item bank, which enables teachers to evaluate project-based learning across multiple subjects using research-based assessment methods.

Project-based learning asks students to apply knowledge by solving real-world problems and performing exercises that foster critical-thinking abilities.

The Acuity Performance Task System allows teachers to create their own performance tasks — project-based learning modules with formative assessment capabilities fully integrated — for English Language Arts, math and science activities, which they can assign based on skill level or content area.
