ISTE announces position on Common Core State Standards

TheInternational Society for Technology in Education (ISTE®) has released its position on technology and the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). In the statement, ISTE delineates its belief that the effective use of technology will help schools maximize Common Core success and recommends that the CCSS and ISTE’s education technology standards be implemented in concert.

The “ISTE Position Statement on the Common Core State Standards” is accompanied by an infographic that illustrates the challenge of building the technology infrastructure combined preparing more than two million teachers to implement the new standards with 45 million students in 45 states around the country.
