Jupiter Ed's cloud based solutions were not impacted by Heartbleed, the security vulnerability widely publicized earlier in the week. Heartbleed is a security flaw in OpenSSL, a popular data encryption standard.
Jupiter uses SSL encryption, all passwords are salted and hashed for maximum security, and it has a defense strategy against malicious attacks (XSS, DDoS, SQL injection, brute force, phishing, etc.).
More information on the vulnerable versions of OpenSSL may be found on the Heartbleed website: heartbleed.com. Additional information may be found on the NIST website.
